Explore My Work & Worlds

Welcome to my portfolio. It's great to see you!
This is a showcase of work compiled over the course of my career, including collaborations, commissioned work, and personal projects.
Take a look and feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss potential opportunities to work together.
As a Game Content Designer, I naturally look for games and projects where there is a need for a deeper narrative featuring a unique setting/world where interesting characters can interact and react with each other.
The developed and released are shown here. Past projects are shown lower down the page in chronological order.

SHIPPED PC AND MOBILE GAMES

DYING FLAME

Guilt. Loss. Suffering. Pain. Darkness. Horror.

About Dying Flame

James is trapped in an unknown mansion. As he desperately searches for a way out, he finds that his wife, Mary is trapped there as well. Lurking in the darkness is a monster that’s hunting you. Untangle the riddles that bar your path, and uncover the truth behind this deathly nightmare.

My Contribution

In this game, every written word you see is mine. From the tutorials to James's monologue and then every description in the dark and light of the mansion was penned by me.

Each description was handcrafted to build the atmosphere of darkness and decay, and give the game its tone and mood of suffering and loss.

Fitting the Five Stages of Grief in to the classic Three Act Structure proved somewhat of challenge but it was achieved by carefully gating and pacing a player's progress through the narrative to maximize the emotional impact of grief, and the anxiety of addiction.

AMNESIAC ADVENTURER

Treasure? Princess? Demon? Remember? Remember?!

About Amnesiac Adventurer

Our brave adventurer is almost at the end of his heroic journey, but realizes that his memories have been jumbled! Now filled with questions and doubts, he must recall what happened in the past, and remember why he was here in the first place!

My Contribution

The story, the characters, the dialogue. The story evolves depending on players' choice to go to one of the 14 possible endings.

The way characters speak to each other, their personalities, and how the game ends is amongst my finest writing to date.

PAST PROJECTS

Looking back on my past projects, I've learned a great deal that has been applied to current and future projects!

WORK SAMPLES

These are just a few examples of what I create for games and projects that I have worked on. Please note these samples are not my most recent work. Consider these references due to ongoing NDAs and similar privacy agreements.

CHARACTERS, PLOTS, STORYLINES

You need characters so that you can put them in a scene. From the scene you have events, leading to interaction and drama. Combine the scenes logically, and you get yourself a story and a narrative!

THE SETTING FOR A STORY

If you have created a story and a narrative, then you need the setting that your story and narrative take place in. That's the city, the districts, and the people that bring it to life!

THE WORLD BEYOND

Every Game has a narrative, and the setting. What about the wider world? Lore? History? Flora and Fauna? Other places and people? That is world creation!
